Rsvp Cards (1)
This friendly request for a response has long been used with wedding stationery, and most recently it has become its own enclosure card, used by the traditionalist and the modernist alike. It is still completely proper and acceptable to use the old fashioned method of writing, “kindly respond by such date” in the lower left hand corner of the invitation. Your guests are then expected to write you a note of congratulations and to let you know if they will attend. However, I would only recommend this method if your guests happen to be extraordinarily educated on proper etiquette. It has been my experience that you are not likely to receive many replies this way.
