Save the Date Cards (1)

This adorable Save the Date postcard was sent in by my amazingly talented friend Lindsey, who set her own type and personally letter pressed each postcard.

Save the Date cards are relatively new to the wedding stationery scene. They come in a plethora of forms and sizes; invitation size, handwritten note cards, printed cards, postcards, post-its, refrigerator magnets, calendars, coffee cups…the list is endless. (Research how save the date cards came to be.) Save the Date cards used to be sent only to guests who would need to travel long distances to attend the wedding. Today they are often sent to every guest in advance, and with American’s busy schedules and lack of vacation time, I think it’s very likely this trend is here to stay.

Cheers,
Melissa
