Meet Snippet & Ink

I am so delighted today to introduce you to Kathryn (though I'm sure all of you are very familiar with her and her stunning blog Snippet and Ink). Her blog has consistently posted some of the most stunning and creative boards the web has ever witnessed, and has quickly become on of America's most respected wedding blogs. I wanted to get to know Kathryn better, to see what inspires her, and any inspiration she'd like to share. I'm sure you'll find her as friendly and charming as I have.

Q: Tell us a little bit about you and how you began blogging.

A: I spent two years as a kindergarten teacher through Teach for America, so when my teaching commitment ended, I found myself with a lot more free time than I'd had in a long time. I discovered wedding blogs and inspiration boards when a few of my friends got engaged around the same time. I've always loved the pretty details that go into weddings, so I thought I'd try making a few inspiration boards, and a blog seemed like the perfect way to share them with whoever might be interested. Creating inspiration boards and blogging them was a great way for me to pass time when I started out - and has turned into my full-time job!

Q: Do you have a favorite image or inspiration board to share with us?

A: My favorite inspiration board changes all the time, and tends to be one that I've created more recently. Right now I'm especially loving this one. (image at top)


Q: What can a reader expect when they visit your blog?

A: Snippet & Ink's tag line is "daily wedding inspiration" - so that's my aim, that readers find a wealth of inspiration. Even if they aren't planning a wedding, or if none of the inspiration boards or real weddings are exactly the look they're going for, I hope that my readers see how many different and beautiful ways there are to design a wedding (or any party, or a room, or a wardrobe), that the possibilities are really endless.
