Detail by detail...the Favors

Here are the favors that sweet Lindsey and David provided for all their guests. Simple, sweet, playful...and amazingly personal. Lindsey's dad is a beekeeper. For her favors she hand packaged each small jar of honey (wrapped in a yellow bow with a monogram sticker atop) with her dad's strawberry honey. In addition, she handmade delicious yellow candies in a honeycomb mold, as seen on Martha Stewart. Not only did they add a lot of charm to her table decoration, I fell in love with honey like I'd never done before.

For your favors, consider something personalized, edible and hand made. To be honest, there are very few favors that I get excited about. Figurines and knick-knacks, mints and Jordan almonds just don't do it for me. I love favors that are edible or usable; candles, candies, soaps, cookies, etc. Then when I use/eat them I think fondly of my good friends who didn't give me another thing to dust off!

Follow up by Lindsey, "... I bought (the honeycomb candy) online from the Stained Glass Candy Company. You can get it in many different flavors, all honeycomb shaped! But I did stuff them into the bags and sewed them to the backer cards that I stamped by hand and trimmed with scalloped scissors."

This is a great idea. One of my wedding colors happens to be honey. Thanks for giving me ideas to play with.

But I did stuff them int the bags and sewed them to the backer cards that I stamped by hand and trimmed with scalloped sissors. But thanks for all the love, I feel fancy!
